     The John Denver tribute shows began nine years ago with the untimely death of one of America’s great musical icons, John Denver.  Band members, song writers, producers, and other musical colleagues gathered in Aspen in October of 1997 to celebrate John's life.  From this emerged a group of performers that has since toured the USA celebrating and performing John's music.  Again in 2006, a limited number of shows will be given around the country.  This year’s concerts take this annual tribute event to a new and exciting level – A Musical Tribute to John Denver – The New Symphonic Series” featuring John’s former band members and friends celebrating his musical legacy accompanied by a FULL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA!

    The 9th Annual “A Musical Tribute to John Denver” will be held at the historic Wheeler Opera House on Friday – Saturday, October 13-14, 2006; all concerts begin at 7:00 p.m.  The “gang” returns again this year - many former band members, songwriters and colleagues of John Denver’s performance will be enhanced by the special addition of “The Symphony in the Valley” as part of 2006’s NEW SYMPHONIC SERIES!

The Aspen, CO shows will feature the following talented performers:

    PETE HUTTLINGER (John's guitar player, he did all of the signature guitar licks.)
